The Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens is home to 82 species and nearly 300 animals in a lush rainforest environment. A vital recreational and educational opportunity for local residents and visitors, the Zoo also features special amenities such as a playground, pavilions, a gift shop and more. We look forward to seeing you at the Zoo!

  • Open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily except as noted below.
  • Closed the first Thursday of each month* and Christmas and New Year's Day. (*Zoo closed Tues., July 2, 2024, but open Thurs., July 4, 2024 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) 
  • The Petting Zoo is open Saturdays, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
